Silk Textures proudly presents a two-track EP from Bodytemp, the deeper alter-ego of label veteran Approaching Black. In"Jus' Believe," the tremendous Australian talent, best known for his melodic prog house work, proves early that he is equally talented at crafting sexy, sophisticated deep house grooves. Hypnotic melodic plucks, carnivalesque ambient effects, and female vox stabs fill out the soundscape in the first half of the tune. As the track approaches the break, a male spoken-word vocal motif appears, reminiscent of the more "soulful" deep house classics of a decade prior. The second cut in the EP, "All Night Long," also pays tribute to the more "classic" deep house sound, including a spoken word riff ("house music all night long") that gives the track it's name. Again, a delicious groove, including some clever rhythmic delays, as well as jazzy ambient effects give this track a mature sound that will especially please lifelong fans of the genre.
